Welcome to the Cambodian Community in Ireland

The Cambodian Community in Ireland is a volunteer-led organisation dedicated to bringing together Cambodians and friends of Cambodia across Ireland. Our mission is to preserve and celebrate Cambodia's rich cultural heritage while fostering friendship, mutual understanding, and lasting connections between Cambodia and Ireland.

We provide a welcoming and inclusive community for Cambodian families, students, professionals, and everyone with an interest in Cambodian culture. Through cultural festivals, educational programmes, community events, and volunteer initiatives, we create opportunities for people to connect, share experiences, celebrate traditions, and support one another.

We work closely with the Royal Embassy of Cambodia in London, Irish organisations, the Southeast Asian Nations in Ireland (SEANI), educational institutions, local communities, and other embassies to promote cultural exchange, strengthen community engagement, and build meaningful partnerships that benefit both the Cambodian community and wider Irish society.

Our commitment extends beyond preserving Cambodian traditions, language, arts, and values. We embrace diversity, encourage cross-cultural understanding, and inspire future generations to take pride in their heritage while making positive contributions to Ireland's multicultural community.

Whether you are Cambodian, Irish, or simply interested in Cambodian culture, we warmly invite you to join us. Together, we celebrate our heritage, build lasting friendships, and strengthen the bonds between Cambodia and Ireland.

Our community Activities

Connecting people, celebrating culture, and strengthening friendship between Cambodia and Ireland.

Cultural preservation

We are dedicated to preserving and promoting Cambodia's rich cultural heritage through a variety of community events and educational activities. Throughout the year, we organise traditional celebrations, cultural performances, language initiatives, and heritage programmes that bring people together and help pass Cambodian traditions, values, arts, and customs on to future generations. By sharing our culture with the wider Irish community, we also encourage greater understanding, appreciation, and friendship between Cambodia and Ireland.

Family & student support

We encourage lifelong learning by supporting Cambodian students, promoting educational opportunities, and organising workshops and activities that inspire young people to stay connected with their cultural identity while developing their skills and confidence.

Community wellbeing initiatives and woman empowerment

We are committed to promoting the wellbeing, inclusion, and empowerment of our community members. Through educational programmes, health and wellbeing initiatives, leadership opportunities, and community events, we encourage individuals and families to thrive and actively participate in society. We are especially dedicated to supporting women by promoting confidence, leadership, equality, and opportunities for personal and professional development.

Strengthening friendships

We believe that strong friendships are the foundation of a vibrant and inclusive community. The Cambodian Community in Ireland brings together people from diverse backgrounds through cultural celebrations, community events, educational programmes, and volunteer activities.
